Q. How do I get an Access Code?
A. If you are eligible to report using TNPAWS, the website and Access Code are provided as a quarterly letter by mail as part of the roll of quarter process of the TNPAWS system. The roll of quarter process starts roughly 7 weeks prior to the due date for the quarter. Access codes are assigned during the roll of quarter process. For your security, the Access Code will change annually beginning with the first quarter. If you have lost or did not receive a letter, contact the Large Audit Unit at (615) 741-0930.
Q. When I try to log in, I get the message that my User Name or Password is invalid. How can I find out what it is?
A. For your security, we cannot access your User Name or Password. If you have logged in using this User Name before but on another computer, please be sure Javascript is enabled. If you cannot remember your User Name, please register again. If you cannot remember your Password, you can reset it after verifying certain information. If you cannot verify the requested information, please register again. Click here to go to the Password Change screen. If this error message is displayed repeatedly, please confirm that your browser is set to accept cookies.
Q. When I enter my account number and access code, I get the message that my access code is invalid. How can I determine my access code?
A. Please be sure that you have entered the access code printed on the quarterly letter. The current quarter information can be found on our Home page. For your security, the access code will change beginning with the first quarter of every year. You will also get this message possibly, if you have your browser set to autofill your username and password. Please check that your account number is in the account number field and not your username.

Q. When is the TNPAWS site available?
A. TNPAWS is available Monday-Saturday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Central Time.
Q. What if I need to make changes to my report after it has been submitted?
A. You must submit a supplemental Premium and Wage Report (LB-0456) or Claim for Adjustment or Refund form (LB-0459) if changes to the information submitted are needed. To increase total wages, select the option to File a Supplemental Premium and Wage Report within TNPAWS. To decrease total or taxable wages, submit a Claim for Adjustment or Refund (LB-0459)
Q. I didn't print a copy of my Premium and Wage Report. How can I print this information?
A. Please Log In to TNPAWS using your User Name and Password. After you have submitted your state UI Account Number and Access Code, the completed report will be displayed.
Q. How do I change the appearance of my printed report?
A. You can control the appearance of the printed report by adjusting the Text Size, Header/Footer, and Margins. Adjusting the Text size will affect the appearance of the web page as well as the printed report. Adjusting the Header/Footer and/or Margins may allow you to print more information on a single page. To adjust these settings, please refer to the Help section provided by the browser's manufacturer.
Q. I submit reports for more than one employer account. Do I have to create a different user name for each account?
A. You can use the same username and password for submitting multiple reports. Once you log in, you will have the opportunity to enter the employer account number and access code for the report you are filing.
Q. I already filed my report using TNPAWS. Do I still have to fill out the paper report?
A. Please do not file a duplicate paper report.
Q. I already filed my report for this quarter using another method. Can I submit it again using TNPAWS?
A. If you have already filed a report for a given quarter using one format, please do not file again using TNPAWS. If changes to the information submitted are needed, you must submit a supplemental Premium and Wage Report (LB-0456) or Claim for Adjustment or Refund form (LB-0459)to decrease total or taxable wages.
Q. How do I pay the premiums due?
A. There are three ways to pay your premiums: 1. electronically by Automated Clearing House (ACH) Debit through the TNPAWS system, 2. Automated Clearing House (ACH) Credit (see Paying Premiums Electronically by Automated Clearing House (ACH) Credit), or 3. by check with your paper Premium Report. Report. You should only use paper reporting if you haven’t established an account previously and are sending it in with your application as applied for.
Q. How does the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) Credit payment method work?
A. The ACH Credit method allows you to transfer funds by instructing your financial institution to debit your bank account and credit the department's bank account. The transfer of funds is initiated by you, and any fees associated with the transfer are paid by you. For additional information, please follow the ACH Credit link from the TNPAWS home page.
Q. How is the receipt date for my report determined?
A. TNPAWS will record the date that the report was submitted and issue a Confirmation Number. We encourage all employers to file their reports before the due date since TNPAWS is only available Monday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Central Time.

A. For best results, the recommended browser is Google Chrome. However, you can also use Firefox, Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
Q. What is the recommended screen resolution?
A. The recommended screen resolution is 1024 X 768 or higher.
Q. What are cookies and why do they need to be enabled?
A. Cookies are a method used to work interactively with a user and remember data. In order to log on to the site successfully, you must have cookies enabled.

A. Javascript is a scripting language that enables us to make the site interactive. In order to use this site, Javascript must be enabled.
