From the QuickMenu, click Resume Builder. The first step is to enter a resume title that is relevant to your desired occupation. The title is a searchable item so it's important to use a specific occupation like Attorney, Customer Service Representative, or Construction Worker for example. There are 3 options for creating a resume on Jobs4TN
Option 1 is Comprehensive: "Build your resume using a step-by-step process (create your resume from scratch)". This option uses a wizard to complete steps for each resume section. It requires the most time and effort, but employers are most likely to find this resume type.
Option 2 is Upload: "Attach an existing Work or .PDF resume (save time by using your existing resume). This option automatically transfers text from an electronic resume (Word or PDF format) to build background data. It saves time, but you will be prompted to complete missing information.
Option 3 is Duplicate a resume in our system: "Build your resume from a previously entered resume (quickest)." This option creates a duplicate resume from a previously created one that you can then modify. It is the quickest method but requires an existing resume.
The final step after creating your resume is to review for accuracy before clicking the Save Resume & Return button at the bottom of the screen. The Resume Score option allows you to have your resume scored and provides tips for improvement and resume best practices.
