Rapid Response is a required activity under WIOA to be carried out in local areas by the -, chief elected officials (CEOs), and other stakeholders. Rapid Response involves strategies and activities necessary to (i) plan for and quickly respond to announcements of business closures and layoffs -; (ii) deliver services that enable dislocated workers to transition to new employment as quickly as possible; and (iii) address the needs of businesses in transition to prevent and minimize the duration of unemployment.
