You may request an inspection file (a public record) by submitting an email to TOSHA’s Custodian of Records.
Your email should include the name and inspection number of the file or files you wish to receive. This information is available by conducting an establishment search of OSHA’s Database. For optimal results you should select the state of ‘Tennessee’, case status ‘all’, and violation status ‘both’.
Within 7 days of receipt of your request, you will be notified if the file is available and the fees associated with reproducing the file. If the file is not yet available you will be given an estimated time at which the file is expected to be made available.
Please note, that portions of the records such as employee names and identifiers, medical records, and trade secrets are exempt from disclosure and will be redacted from files released.
