If you disagree with the agency's decision on your claim, you can appeal that decision. Since each claim is unique, multiple issues may arise that require a determination based on the Tennessee Code Annotated. As a claimant, you can appeal any decision the agency renders on your claim if filed within the 15-day appeal timeframe.
Examples of Decision you can Appeal
· A final decision about your benefit;
· A decision to deny or reduce your benefits;
· The reason for an overpayment;
· The amount of the overpayment;
· The finding that you were at fault in causing the overpayment; or
· The denial of your request to waive repayment of the overpaid benefits.
