A high school equivalency (HSE) diploma is an alternative to a traditional high school diploma. Earning this credential means that you demonstrate the same skills and knowledge as a traditional high school graduate.
For adult students in Tennessee, we offer different pathways towards earning a High School Equivalency Diploma. The different exams that can be taken and applied toward HSE Diploma attainment are TABE, HiSET, GED, Casas Goals, and ACT WorkKeys. Students must pass Math, Reading, Writing/Language, Social Studies, and Science through any of the pathways listed.
