No, in the state of Tennessee there are no laws requiring an employer to provide you with a copy of your employee file. There are also no federal laws requiring an employer to provide a copy of your employee file. However, Tennessee Code 8-50-108 specifies, any state employee, regardless of position or classification, shall be entitled to have access at any reasonable time to such employee's personnel files. The employee may request copies of any material contained in such personnel files, which copies shall be furnished to the employee upon the employee's payment of the cost of such reproduction.
