EXISTING EMPLOYERS
With an existing account number
- In e-Services, go to the homepage and click the Sign Up for an Online Account link.
- Once all required information is gathered, click Next on the Informational page.
- Enter the FEIN and Letter ID (begins with “L”) from the benefit system within the past 15 months. If you do not have a Letter ID, follow steps a, b, and c.
- To request a new Letter ID, click the I need to request a new letter button.
- Enter the FEIN again, and the system will mail a new letter with Letter ID to the address on record.
- Upon receipt of the new letter, return to step 1.
- After entering all required information, create logon credentials by entering a username, a password, and security questions.
- Upon completion, the account will be registered.
NOTE: On the Informational page, ensure the employer has the information needed to complete registration for an e-Services account before you begin. |
NEW EMPLOYERS
Without an account number
- In e-Services, go to the homepage and click the Register my business link.
- Once all required information is gathered, click Next on the Informational page.
- Create logon credentials by entering a username, a password, and security questions.
- Complete all the registration screens by answering all required questions about the business.
- Upon completion, the new account will be registered.
NOTE: On the Informational page, ensure the employer has the information needed to complete registration for a UI Tax account before they begin. |
PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYER ORGANIZATIONS (PEOS)
and THIRD-PARTY ADMINISTRATORS (TPAs)
First Try to Sign Up for an Online Account
- In e-Services, go to the homepage and click the Sign Up for an Online Account link.
- Attempt to register using the FEIN.
- If the FEIN is recognized by the system, follow the same steps for registration as for Employers with existing account numbers defined above.
- If the FEIN is not recognized by the system, follow the same steps for registration as for Employers without an account number defined above except you will click the Register as a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) or Register as a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) link instead.
NOTE: This includes Third-Party Administrators/Representatives, CPAs, and Bookkeepers. |
